Our full ICBC certification and specialized focus on defensive driving techniques set us apart as the premier choice for learners who want more than just basic instruction—they want skills that last a lifetime.

Defensive Driving: The DriveOn Difference

What distinguishes DriveOn Driving Academy from other driving schools is our comprehensive emphasis on defensive driving techniques. We don’t just teach you how to operate a vehicle; we train you to anticipate hazards, read traffic patterns, maintain safe following distances, and respond effectively to unpredictable situations. This proactive approach to driver education prepares you for the real challenges of BC roads, from navigating Victoria’s busy downtown intersections to handling adverse weather conditions on the Island’s highways. Our students consistently report feeling more confident and capable behind the wheel because they’ve learned to think ahead and drive strategically.

ICBC Certification and Proven Standards

As a fully ICBC-certified driving school, DriveOn meets and exceeds British Columbia’s rigorous standards for driver education. Our certification means our curriculum, instructors, and training vehicles all comply with provincial requirements, giving you confidence that your education meets official benchmarks. More importantly, our intimate knowledge of ICBC road test standards means we know exactly what examiners look for, and we prepare you thoroughly for every aspect of the evaluation. This expertise contributes directly to our students’ exceptional pass rates and their preparedness for real-world driving after licensing.

Flexible Pricing That Fits Your Needs

DriveOn offers transparent, competitive pricing designed to accommodate different learning styles and budgets. Our single lessons at $80 per hour provide flexibility for experienced drivers who need targeted practice in specific areas, while our popular 10-hour package at $700 delivers comprehensive training at excellent value—saving you $100 compared to booking individual sessions. This package allows for progressive skill development across multiple sessions, which research shows leads to better retention and more confident driving. We also offer customized test preparation programs tailored to your specific needs and timeline.

Expert Instructors Who Care About Your Success

Our perfect rating across nearly 600 reviews reflects the exceptional quality of our instructors. DriveOn teachers are patient, knowledgeable professionals who genuinely care about each student’s progress. They understand that learning to drive can be stressful, especially for nervous beginners, and they create supportive environments where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as they learn. Reviews consistently highlight our instructors’ ability to explain complex concepts clearly, provide constructive feedback without criticism, and adapt their teaching methods to match each learner’s pace and style. Whether you’re a teenager earning your first license or an adult returning to driving after years away, our team provides the personalized attention you deserve.
