Best Ever was founded in 2010 by Kulvir Bola, a Winnipeg city bus driver who saw that local driver training needed to be better. It now works with a team of MPI-certified instructors, and the school says thousands of students have trained with it. Its instructors are listed as speaking English, Hindi and Punjabi, and the school’s price page adds Gujarati.
The most useful thing about this school is its price list, which is unusually complete, and its package for drivers who have failed the Class 5 road test three times. That second point matters more than it sounds, because Manitoba changed the rules on repeat tests in late 2024.

The per-hour math: 1 hour is $70; 1.5 hours is $66.67/hour; 2 hours is $65/hour; the 6-lesson package works out to $63.89/hour ($95.83 a lesson); and the 12-lesson package to $61.11/hour ($91.67 a lesson). The road test option is a one-hour warm-up lesson followed by the school’s training vehicle for the test, for $140. These are the school’s own figures, but it doesn’t say whether tax is added to each item, so confirm the final total.

Since November 14, 2024, MPI has required a minimum of five hours of professional instruction from an MPI-permitted driving school after a third failed Class 1–5 road test, before you can book a fourth. Each further failure after that triggers another five hours. You prove it by submitting MPI’s Driving Instruction Verification form before you can buy your next test. Best Ever is one of the few schools we found that sells this as a named, priced package. Rules can change, so confirm the current requirement with MPI.
