About

DRGO.ca is an independent Canadian driving information resource — a directory of driving schools plus practical guides on licensing, road tests and driving rules. From Toronto to Vancouver, we help new drivers compare schools, understand what to expect at their G2/G or ICBC road test, and find the routes local test centres actually use.

Who We Are

DRGO.ca is not affiliated with the Ministry of Transportation (MTO), ICBC, or any provincial licensing authority. We’re an independent publisher that organizes public information — driving school listings, road test procedures, and route information — into one place so new drivers don’t have to piece it together themselves from dozens of sites.

How We Verify Our Information

Because road test and licensing information affects real decisions, we try to be explicit about where our content comes from and how reliable each part is.

  • Official sources we reference: Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and DriveTest, British Columbia’s ICBC, and other provincial transportation ministries and licensing bodies. Licensing rules, G1/G2/G class requirements, and official test procedures are cross-checked against these sources.
  • What comes from government sources: Licence class requirements, test structure and scoring criteria, road test centre addresses, and eligibility rules are based on published information from MTO, ICBC and equivalent provincial bodies.
  • What comes from schools and the community: Driving school listings, pricing, course details and student reviews are submitted by schools themselves or contributed by users. Test route diagrams are compiled from patterns commonly reported by recent test-takers and local instructors around each test centre, not from an official published route.
  • Update frequency: Licensing and school information is reviewed on an ongoing basis as we become aware of changes. Individual guide and route pages show a “last reviewed” note where applicable — treat any page without a recent date with appropriate caution and confirm details with the official source before your test.
  • What we don’t claim: Road test centres do not publish official fixed routes, and neither MTO nor ICBC releases non-public examiner data to us or anyone else. Our route pages describe commonly used roads near a test centre to help you practice — they are not, and are never presented as, the official or guaranteed route for your test.

See an Error? Tell Us

Listings change, schools open and close, and road patterns near test centres shift over time. If you spot outdated or incorrect information anywhere on DRGO.ca, let us know and we’ll review and correct it.

Your One-Stop Guide to Learning to Drive

DRGO.ca helps new drivers find the best driving schools in every major Canadian city. From downtown cores to growing suburbs, we highlight established schools, independent instructors, and trusted local brands so you can see your options side by side.

For example, if you live in the GTA, you can explore driving schools in Toronto with details like addresses, course types and typical pricing. On the West Coast, our Vancouver driving schools listings make it easier to choose a school that knows ICBC test routes, busy intersections and real local traffic conditions.

What You Can Compare on DRGO.ca

Every school page aims to answer the questions students ask most often:

  • What types of courses do they offer (BDE, G2/G prep, refresher lessons, ICBC packages)?
  • How much do typical packages cost, and what’s included?
  • Where is the school located, and which road test centres are nearby?
  • Do they have multilingual instructors or experience with nervous beginners?
  • What do real students say about their teaching style and professionalism?
  • Are they MTO or ICBC approved with proper certification?

Beyond listings, we also publish practical resources for new drivers. Our New Drivers Guide explains how licensing works in different provinces, what to expect at your first lesson, and how to build safe habits that last.

Independent, Simple and Free to Use

DRGO.ca is designed to be simple and honest. We don’t try to push you toward one specific school, and we’re not a government body or testing authority — just an independent resource. We give you a clear starting point so you can make your own decision: compare courses, review locations, read summaries of student experiences, and confirm anything test-related with the official source before your appointment.

Using DRGO.ca is completely free for learners. Schools can request changes to their listing or add missing details, but our goal remains the same: provide a clean, easy-to-browse, and honestly-sourced resource that helps you feel more confident before you ever sit in the driver’s seat.

For Driving Schools Across Canada

If you operate a driving school in Canada, you can appear in front of more local students who are actively searching for lessons. A clear profile with up-to-date contact details, course offerings and highlight points can make it easier for the right students to find you.

You can use our Add School page to request a new listing or update your existing information. The more accurate your details, the more helpful your page will be for future students.
